The media are not toys… they can be entrusted only to new artists, because they are art forms.

Typographic reflection in a school setting through the "Mauvais Caractère" application. From the production of a paper and digital specimen, to the reflection on the principle and creation of the typeface in question, and the drawing of the typeface, to the animated 3D production.
The process began with the idea of creating a violent typeface. It was with this in mind that I chose to approach the lines and codes of gothic typefaces, which are strongly rooted in and associated with a dark world. That's why I started by identifying the key points to be encouraged in typographic design: working around triangles, serifs and counter-forms.

I started by drawing an alphabet that was far too irregular, then a lower-case B, which I liked. It was with this letter that I was able to identify what worked and what didn't, and apply it to the whole alphabet.

Frach type has become a picante typeface, inspired by Dieter Stellmann's work on his Tannenberg typeface. Bloody, cold and sinister, Frach Type is a bad typeface. It takes the principles of Gothic script and transforms them. The counterforms are as sharp as knife blades and the serifs as sharp as quills. If you rub it, you prick it. The whole thing is disturbing to the eye. Made for headlines, Frachtype features both flying and scary characters. It is available in a single fat.
